These dyes have great tinctorial strength and brightness, and are therefore suited for those material which require these characteristics. Our range is available in both powdered and liquid form. These dyes are negatively charged, and therefore these get attracted towards positively charged material. Available in various colors including crystal violet, safranin, basic fuchsin and methylene blue, these can be applied to wool, silk, cotton and modified acrylic fibers.
Basic Dyes are actually aniline dyes which are insoluble in water but can be made soluble by converting the base into salt. The name basic dyes originate from those times when these dyes were used to dye wool in an alkaline bath. These dyes also contains cationic functional groups like -NR3+ or =NR2+, in which protein gains a negative charge on the deprotonation of -COOH groups into -COO-. The performance of basic dyes is very high on acrylics than the natural fibers.
