Thermocoat - HT (Silicon Varnish)

(baking impragnating varnish)

Composition : thtermocoat-ht is a synthetic resin(silicon resin) based varnish.

Characteristics of film :

• The cured film has excellent flexibility & retention of flexibility on ageing
• Good resistance to impregnating compound & solvents

Uses: Thermocoat —HT is used for the production of varnished fibre glass taps, cloth, sleeving, fibreglass covered cable, having temp index above 200. C it has low viscosity & excellent wetting to glass fibre for this application. It has excellent fire resistance property. And at higher temp. No change in colour of substrate.

Method of application : It can be applid by normal method of coating or impregnation such as dipping. It can be cured in air circulated oven or conveyorised backing ovens.

Properties:

Colour : white clear liquid.

Solid contents : 40+2 ( 160. C) after mixing both part.

Viscosity by ford cup b4 : 45 to50 sec at 30. C after mixing both the part.

Density : 0. 96 gm/cm3. After mixing.

Flash point : 25. C.

Ratio to use :

Recommended : resin 1 part : hardner 1 part

Thinner : thermocoat-ht.

Temp . Index : above 180. C. / 1 hr. 6 month when stored in original seperate sealed containers.

Suggested curing schedule : for fibre glass sleeving application

( in air circulated baking ovens. )

1hr for 150. C to 160. C. Initial & final coats.

Di-electric Strength : break down voltage of sleeve. ( 0. 5 mm wall thickness with 6mm of fg sleeves. ) 7 kv /min straight sleeve.

4 kv /min after bending.

Packing : 20 kg, 200 kg. M. S. Drum.
