Butylated Phenolic Resin

It finds applications in combinations with epoxy resins having equivalent weight 1800 and 4000 gives tough and flexible films having chemical, alkali and acid resistant properties. This type of coatings are used as coatings for containers, collapsible tubes and tins used for packing of drugs, foods, cosmetics and pesticides. Also used for etch primers based on polyvinyl butyral resins. Also finds applications in adhesives, insulating varnishes and wire enamels.
